Cheap motorbike insurance on a (rock) and roll!

For those cheap motorbike insurers au fait with their big bikes, you'll be only too aware that Harley Davidson chisel their engines from gargantuan slabs of granite. The sort, agree cheap motorbike insurers, that survive the tests and rigours of time and everything that nature has to throw at it. We're still talking stone by the way, and not said bikes. Although they too, as any cheap motorbike insurer will swear on oath to, take some shifting, rocking or nudging, such is their girth. Anyway, I'm not sure what this particular cheap motorbike insurer is doing comparing land formations to the worlds most famous American motorbike brand name. But they have, and in a way, it's fitting. As, like the surface of the planet, Harleys will always be with us cheap motorbike insurers.

Their new kid on the engine block is called the Big Twin. Which says all it needs to really if you're bike-orientated. It will power the company's Dyna, Softail and Touring bike model line-up for 2007, delivering 17% more torque than the twin-cam 88 power unit its replacing. Some assistance comes in the form of an all-new 6-speed cruise-drive transmission system, which will transfer the extra power to the rear wheel according to the literature that arrived on my desk this morning.

Bill Davidson as his surname leads even the sceptical to believe, has something to do with Harley Davidson's. If you guessed he were the Director of Motorcycle Product development, give yourself a pat on the head and digest what he has to say next. "The V-Twin engine has always been the centrepiece of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle; it's integral not only to the performance of the motorcycle, but also to its styling, to its sound, and to the way it feels to the rider. The new Twin Cam 96 and 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission offer enhanced performance, while maintaining the traditional aesthetics of the Harley-Davidson Big Twin."

As anyone who has ever had the privilege to saddle up on any of the Harley family will readily admit, it's the timeless blend of undeniable function mixed with exquisite form that shapes the whole character of each and every model to roll off the production line. That the machine should shake and stir the very soul is a fundamental philosophy that's witnessed and experienced by any one of the millions who have ever had the pleasure; the pleasure of physical performance, its sheer presence and the expression of unadulterated passion that has been synominous with, and the cornerstone of, the Harley Davidson name for over a century. So yeah, poetry in motion aside, the Big Twin is set to continue where the twin cam 88 left off - by securing the allegiance of a whole new generation and cementing the beliefs and ideals of those that have gone before. I feel we should all rise for the stars and stripes about now, and be standing in front of the White House banner. But it's a great deal to make a song and a dance about as you'll doubtless see for yourself one day soon. An affirmation not altogether dissimilar to that of our cheap motorbike insurance, again, something that we don't need a soapbox to help get the message across with. Simply suck it and see. Try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
