The number of motorcyclists killed in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, two popular biker routes has dropped to the lowest numbers in 6 years. The reason for this drop is a new scheme to bring the issue to public awareness and many new patrols along popular routes used by bikers.
Motorbike accidents are often more serious becase you don't have airbags and seatbelts, which is precisely why you should spend as much on your leathers and lid as you can possibly afford. Is it really worth saving £100 on a helmet when it could save you from serious injury or even death.
Although the scheme was a success, just one death due to careless riding is too many, please take care when you are out with your friends on your bikes. Bikes are extremely vulnerable at high speeds.
