Speed cameras catching more people than ever!

A question that bugs me, is that if speed cameras are meant to be a deterrent why are more and more of us motorist being caught by them every year.

It must be said that it is not hard to get speeding, all it takes is a lack of concentration and you 5mph over the speed limit. When you are caught it is very hard to argue your case as the law is set in stone and the government together with the media are always publishing the dangers of getting caught by speed cameras.

According to the police the, the reason for the shape increase in speeding offences is that they are now currently around 4,500 cameras in the UK .

Although there has been many campaigns against the use of speed cameras, the best way protect your licence and motor insurance premiums is to not speed in the first place. Yes I know it is easier said than done but it is the only way because as we have seen or heard on the news the cameras are going no where.

If you are convicted of a speeding offence it is you duty to report this to your insurance company and you sure prepare to pay high premiums.
